Safety Center
A few things worth knowing before you connect with people here.
Never send money, gift cards, crypto, or your banking/OTP details to anyone you've met on ConnectHeart — no matter what story they give you.
This is the single most common way people get scammed on dating and chat apps. A real connection will never ask you for money, and no legitimate reason requires it.
Signs of a romance or payment scam
- They profess strong feelings very quickly, before you've really gotten to know each other.
- They avoid video calls or phone calls, or always have an excuse not to meet in person.
- They invent an emergency — a medical bill, a stuck shipment, travel costs, a "verification fee" — and ask you to pay it.
- They try to move the conversation off the app early, to a less moderated channel.
- Their photos look professionally shot, inconsistent, or you can't find them anywhere else online.
- They ask for gift card codes, wire transfers, crypto, or your bank/UPI login details.
General safety tips
- Keep the conversation on the app until you're comfortable — our Block and Report tools only work here.
- Video chat before making plans to meet, to confirm the person is who their profile says.
- If you do meet in person, choose a public place and let a friend or family member know where you'll be.
- Never share your password, recovery code, OTPs, or financial account details with another member — we will never ask you for these either.
- Trust your instincts. If something feels off, it's okay to stop responding, block, and report.
Block and Report
Every conversation has a menu with Block and Report. Blocking stops someone from messaging you; reporting sends details to the site admin for review. Use either whenever something doesn't feel right — you don't need to be certain, and you won't be bothering anyone by reporting.
